As an addict of many years and struggling with my demons all my life, I have been exposed to many treatment agencies. No matter how good the “treatment material” is, it’s the staff and councilors that make the difference. Trying to change your life is terrifying so it is crucial to have a staff that makes you feel comfortable and cared about. Port of hope has that exceptional staff and quality treatment focus. Every single group I was in was POWERFUL! Every member was engaged and actively sharing their heart and sole. Group moderators we’re pros at gently drawing people out of the protective shells that all of us Addis’s and alcoholics put ourselves in. One-on-one councilors were excellent at LISTENING and then providing direction in a positive and productive manner. I was a self pay client and Port of Hope was easily affordable for premier treatment without using medical insurance. I really cannot say enough good about this staff. THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE BACK!!!!
